Abtenau nestles amidst beautiful mountain scenery, some 45 km south of Salzburg. Whether you want sports and activities or for rest and relaxation - Abtenau has it.
Geared mostly towards intermediates, Abtenau is a larger ski resort set at an altitude of around 1500 meters. It offers a vast, skiable terrain with pistes for all ages and abilities, plus a wide range of off-piste sports and activities to offer a varied winter holiday experience.
For the more advanced skier, there are a couple of black runs, some off piste skiing and a ski jump to enjoy, plus Abtenau's ski area is supplemented by the Dachstein West Ski Area, ten minutes away.
