Auffach ski resort is one of those picturesque Tyrolean villages that dot the mountains. The Auffach ski resort ideal for families, with run lots of runs for intermediates and about a dozen for beginners. Snow boarders will enjoy the area too, with a snowpark and half pipe.
With 19km of local pistes, Auffach ski resort is also part of the small 'Wildschonau' pass area, linked by a free ski bus to Oberau and Niederau and offering a further 42km of pistes. Auffach, with largely intermediate category runs, has the biggest vertical drop and highest lifts. Expert or advanced skiers will need to take the ski bus to get to the harder runs.
If that's not enough for you, the Wildschönau Pass resorts are now on the giant Kitzbüheler Alpen Pass, offering 700km of trails across around 40 ski areas.
