Axamer Lizum Ski Resort, Austria

Axamer Lizum ski resort was purpose built for the 1964 Winter Olympic Games. The Axamer Lizum ski resort is part of the Innsbruck Gletscher ski pass, which covers the lifts of Tulfes, Mutterer Alm, Igls and the Stubai glacier, which is open all year. The resorts are all linked via a free ski bus service.

The ski area at Axamer Lizum ski resort has runs for skiers of all standards, but there is no resort as such, there is a four star slopeside hotel, but most skiers stay in the beautiful Innsbruck.

Axamer Lizum has good off-slope facilities for its size and is only 9km (6 miles) from Innsbruck. There is a leisure centre with a large indoor pool as well as a childrens pool and white water rapids slide. The facility includes a sauna and solarium.
