Fulpmes ski resort is one of the nearest ski areas to Innsbruck, situated in the Stubai Valley and close to the glacier and Neustift. A large village with good skiing, it is part of the 'Innsbruck Glacier' shared lift pass, which offers 130km and covers the Stubai Glacier, one of the biggest in the world.
Local skiing on Schlick mountain is varied and interesting, but fulpmes ski resort is best suited for beginners, with just over half of its 20km of ski runs for beginners. Intermediates get 6km of ski runs and advanced skiers just under 3 kms.
Its location and altitude combine to result in great snow, with perfect cover most of the winter season. The top ski lift is around 3200km and the glacier is only 7kms away. Non ski facilities include an indoor pool and tennis, bowling, billiards and an ice rink.
