Fuschl Ski Resort, Austria Fuschl ski resort is set in an attractive, small, traditional austrian mountain village of traditional, chalet-style buildings surrounded by pine trees in the Salzkammergut mountains, to the east end of Lake Fuschl and fourteen miles east of the city of Salzburg. There is a good ski-area at Fuschl ski resort offering 25 miles (42 km) of mostly south facing intermediate runs, with a few for the advanced and for beginners. Because the resort is at an altitude of 1600m it usually gets good from December to March, however snow cannons are available if needed. Fuschl ski resort also offers good cross-country skiing opportunities with 50 miles (83 km) of trails in the area, curling, skating on the lake, sleigh rides, tobogganing, snow-shoeing and cross-country skiing.
