Gerlitzen ski resort is the main resort in Austria's Villach area. With a low resort altitude of 510m, Gerlitzen produces as much as 80% of its snow artificially, using 34 snow cannons.
Wide runs, which are always perfectly groomed, make this an ideal resort for for family skiing. They even have a ski school for children as young as 18 months - the only known ski school in Austria which will teach a child under 3.
