Grossarltal ski resort (also spelt Großarl) is one of the best maintained and most modern ski resorts in the state of Salzburg, and has won the award 'best ski resort in Salzburg land' twice.
Set in a pretty, traditional Austrian mountain village Grossarltal ski resort is linked to Dorfgastein over Mount Kreuzkogel in the famous Gastein valley, with all of that area's skiing on the Amade ski pass.
Grossarltal ski resort has wide runs and lots of skiing for intermediates, with plenty for beginners, but only 8km for more advanced skiers. For snowboarders, there is a half pipe plus a funpark with piped music to get you in the mood.
